Rogue Legacy is the most challenging action roguelike platformer I’ve ever played. The game was originally released on June 27, 2013.
The game has quite an interesting concept, every time you die in the game you are replaced by your successor which you choose. There are 3 choices of heirs that you can choose from to carry your legacy. The game is set in the middle ages, you play a Knight and you’ve got to navigate castles, towers, dungeons and forests to kill all the bosses.

Just like the console manufacturer she was based on, Neptune has to pave way for others to shine. In this case, it’s Noire’s time to take the spotlight. But will her adventures be as memorable as everyone’s favorite purple haired protagonist?

Every week I will be showcasing one album and a video game that I feel everyone should check out in their spare time. Today, those two will be リバイバル by TOYOTAセリカ and Sleeping Dogs.

There has been a recent surge in Japanese games on the PC. You have Square starting to port various Final Fantasy titles, Konami with Metal Gear, Capcom with Street Fighter, just to name a few. Not to be outdone, Idea Factory/Compile Heart now has joined the party. The consolewars have finally landed on your PC! It’s Nep Nep, in the ever so glorious 1080p.

I’m personally not a fan of the output of Quantic Dreams and Telltale games. Beyond: Two Souls was a snore fest and Wolf Among Us was just a chore to play. My main issues with them would be the story and the gameplay. The gameplay is akin to what you would probably find in some Japanese doujinshi and the story is either nonsensical or I simply just can’t care enough to find out what would happen next. But Life is Strange is the opposite of that.

For my recommendation this week it’s Warren Zevon’s Excitable Boy and DuckTales: Remastered.

If I compared Hyperdemension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 to your days back in elementary school bickering about your favorite console, then Re;Birth 2 would be the same feeling except this time, you’re doing it in the bus ride home.

Duke Nukem 3D does a lot of things right, It’s relatively simple, yet relatively complex, It’s brash, it’s crude, its loud and it’s proud but most importantly it’s a ‘whole lotta fun’.
