Remember Summer Days
二度ともどらないの
思い出も 今 波が洗い流すわ
Oh I love you
忘れられないけど 冬になったら
別の恋するわ- from ANRI’s song Summer Days
Maybe I’m just feeling old, or maybe I’m just feeling overly dramatic. At the time of this review I’m only 24-years-old but in two months time I’m going to get a piece of paper saying I’m qualified to write. It will also be the start of summer. Usually summer is the time when I will finally get to relax, but this time it’s when “real life” will start for me.

• Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online
• Developer - IDEA FACTORY, COMPILE HEART, TAMSOFT
• Publisher - Idea Factory International
• PC/Steam
• Rating - T
There are some genuine gems that Idea Factory pushes out from their Neptunia franchise on the regular, though often times the gap between those is filled with titles that don’t quite have as much luster as the others. Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online for PC unfortunately lacks a lot of shine that I’d hope for it to have.

There seems to be another resurgence on all-in-one devices gaming devices lately. Go to your local store and you will see miniature arcade cabinets that contain five or so games. If you happen to find those a tad bit cumbersome and want something in the shape of a Game Boy you are in luck. The company dreamGEAR came out with a cute little device called the Go Gamer Portable 220. Is it worth your purchase though?

There is a line from my favorite iDOLM@STER song – Jibun REST@RT – that goes, “May this moment when everything is rewarded never end,” and that line has never been so applicable to the series than the latest entry, Stella Stage.

One of the main reasons of why I loved the Vita was due to it’s vast library of rhythm games. To this day I carry around it with me on my commutes so I can just play a quick round of THE iDOLM@STER: Must Songs or Xonic. When the Switch was first announced I knew it would be the successor to the Vita in one way or another and I had a gut feeling that rhythm games would find itself on the platform. So when Voez was announced for the Switch I was ecstatic and was the system seller for me. Sorry Mario.

People often joke about the number of sports videogames out in the market, then you look at a franchise like Neptunia. The games range from traditional RPGs to idol simulation games and they seem to come out every other month. It also feels that every entry seems to be a carbon copy of another. While the characters and dialog are charming, the games themselves are nothing to be desired of as of recently. Until now.
I’ll just say this right out of the gate. This game is good. Not ironically good, but actually good.

There are some games you play for the sake of irony or a joke. You know those type of games. You would find them digging deep in the Steam storefront and you tell yourself, “this looks so awful, but I’ll play it anyway.” Then there are games that are so atrocious that even any sort of irony won’t be able to salvage your experience. Touhou Kobuto V is one of them.

Somewhere out there – perhaps on twitter I may have tweeted something lamenting on the trend of pixel games. I probably said something along the lines of, “those games are nothing but bleep bloop nonsense.” I’m also a raging hypocrite however as I’ve enjoyed quite a bit of those “bleep bloop” games. Pixel Cup Soccer 17 is one of them.
