Apparently the gaming press has described Aero’s Quest as “Super Meat Boy meets Megaman” Whoever said that statement needs to brush up on their Megaman. Aero’s Quest is nowhere near those two games other than the fact that it’s a “hard” platformer.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation is a turn based RPG, a remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 that came out in 2011. Read our original review of the game here.
I have not played this game on any other formats, or any Hyperdimension game really.. I feel like this game on PC was a bit of a drag to play. And I’m sure it’s much better to play on the Vita just for convenience sake. Having to sit through what seemed like 20 minutes of intros with text and voice overs, there were some short movies but for the most part it was just clicking X to proceed. There were certain bits in the dialogue that are quite good though.

The Hyperdimension series are slowly invading all of your favorite genres. From a traditional start with turn based RPGs, to idol management, what other genre can the series tackle on? The hack and slash genre of course. Hyperdimension Neptunia U is Compile Heart’s take on the tried and true formula that was popularized with Koei’s Dynasty Warriors series. Except this time, you don’t have to pursue Lu Bu.

Do you ever fantasize about bishounen hunks? Are said hunks historical samurai from the turn of the century? Do you dream of living with them until they give up their most intimate secrets and confess their love to you? Are some of them vampire-like half demons?
Well, you have very specific fantasies. Fortunately, Hakuoki also has those fantasies covered.

In 2013 Compile Heart announced that they would be developing new jRPGs that weren’t the usual Neptunia fare they are known for. Aimed for the Japanese market, they wanted to stand out above the rest of the mainstream Japanese based companies who are now catering to the Western audience. They dubbed this project, “Galapagos RPG”. The first jRPG under that moniker was Fairy Fencer F and now the second game arrives, dubbed Omega Quintet, an interesting hybrid between an idol game and a jRPG. But will Compile Heart have a perfect song to for their audience?

If I compared Hyperdemension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 to your days back in elementary school bickering about your favorite console, then Re;Birth 2 would be the same feeling except this time, you’re doing it in the bus ride home.

Duke Nukem 3D does a lot of things right, It’s relatively simple, yet relatively complex, It’s brash, it’s crude, its loud and it’s proud but most importantly it’s a ‘whole lotta fun’.

This review of Final Fantasy XIII-2 is from my experiences with the game through the PS3 and the PC port. I have played through the English & Japanese version of FFXIII-2 on the PS3 and the initial version of the Steam port.
I recently had a conversation about Final Fantasy in a cafe recently. He noticed I was playing Final Fantasy IV and struck up a small little talk about the franchise we both loved. We talked about the highs and the lows, and what we’d like to see in the future. Then he made a comment on how Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the poor man’s Chrono Trigger but with a better battle system. Now, I was inclined to agree about the battle system, but Final Fantasy XIII-2 is nowhere near the fabled SNES classic.
