Ghost Notes - Veruca Salt

Ghost Notes is Veruca Salt’s fifth studio album and the first done with with all the original members since their second release in 1997.

Veruca Salt has had an interesting history, three of the four original members left the band for various reasons between ‘97 and ‘98, leaving Louise Post to continue on herself. Post continued to lead the band with a cast of new members but never really cemented a new hit. The band’s announcement of a reunion in 2013 however opened up new hope for many of the fans and as well as hopes of making good music.

Omega Quintet Review

In 2013 Compile Heart announced that they would be developing new jRPGs that weren’t the usual Neptunia fare they are known for. Aimed for the Japanese market, they wanted to stand out above the rest of the mainstream Japanese based companies who are now catering to the Western audience. They dubbed this project, “Galapagos RPG”. The first jRPG under that moniker was Fairy Fencer F and now the second game arrives, dubbed Omega Quintet, an interesting hybrid between an idol game and a jRPG. But will Compile Heart have a perfect song to for their audience?

Tom Petty releases whole catalog in Hi-Res

In the light of Tom Petty releasing his whole catalog in Hi-res 24bit 96kHz (24 bit depth processing and 96kHz sampling rate), which brings out the intricate little details that were previously unheard outside of the band themselves, producers and select few who were blessed with hearing the recordings. You would be surprised how much improved audio quality can breath life into songs you’ve listen to a million times. So I thought it would be a good idea to recommend this album.
