My thoughts on PlayStation Now aka “Old man yells at cloud”

I was recently helping out my parents set up their fancy new Bravia TV. I then noticed that it was PlayStation Now enabled. This spiked up my interest as I never really got a chance to play around with PlayStation Now for an extended period before. This service could be the future of gaming.

I had the TV all to myself for the weekend to experience the future. That weekend however, was one that made me shun the potential future of gaming.

FIFA 16 has women in it, so what?

image

By: RJ (@rga_02)

Recently EA announced that 12 women’s national team would be included in their upcoming FIFA 16 and I was excited to hear that announcement. Soccer/Football is my favorite sport and as much as I love to give EA a lot of flack, I’m one of those people who buys their latest iteration of FIFA each year. For EA to place various women’s nationals teams such as United States, Spain, etc. in the game is wonderful. It looks pretty awesome! Finally a GTA style game set in our very own city!” I too was hyped, but I never actually got to play Watch Dogs until now.

This Time It’s Persona is a series of essays on Persona 3 originally published on ashensiegarettes.

I am lying to you.

At this very moment I am being untruthful. It’s a fundamental truth of our society that we only show certain sides of ourselves to each other. At times we engage in a complicit lie, pretending to care about one another in order to achieve some fundamental goal. At this very moment I am choosing only to show this side of myself to you, to engage you on a “meaningful” level .This concept of the faces we wear around each other, the idea that the relationships we create are based not only on what we choose to share with each other, but we choose not to share, is at the core of the great game that us members of society play with each other.

Dazing Around

image

By: RJ (@rga_02)

A floating city in the sky with violins and pianos ringing in the air. Faux French being spoken with the ever looming sun in the background. Japan Studio’s 2012 title, Gravity Daze hits all the right notes for me.
