Mix up that tactics with some marijuana

Every other week I will be showcasing one album and a video game that I feel everyone should check out in their spare time. Today, those two will be a self titled album by Brazilian Girls  and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Brazilian Girls by Brazilian Girls

Perhaps the most fun way to get cultured, you uncultured heathen. This album has it all. From songs sung in Spanish to Italian and sounds shifting from reggae to to regular pop. This album is like the world condensed down to a CD. It’s unapologetic chic and that is what makes the album so vibrant. It just oozes with style and flavor that makes you want to devour the album.

Square made their triumphant return on Nintendo hardware with Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Originally developed as just a port of the PS1 title Final Fantasy Tactics, this game morphed into something original and quite enduring. While the story might be simple and the art style simplistic and free from that Amano and Nomura flair, this game has a lot of heart into it. Like with all Final Fantasy titles, the gamplay is deep and this game is no exception. From character classes to skills and abilities, this title doesn’t gimp out on anything. Not to mention, it has a very lovely soundtrack.
