It’s been a while since we’ve done this, for those who are new visitors, every week (lol) we’ll be recommending you a game, and either an album or a movie to check out. This week I’m recommending GARNiDELiA’s Kyouki Ranbu and Forza Horizon 2.
- Forza Horizon 2
- Developer - Playground Games
- Publisher - Microsoft Studios
- Xbox One
Forza Horizon 2 is one of those games where you can completely blow off everything else and just immerse yourself with the surroundings. I can tell you that I’ve probably done four to five events in this game and the rest of the time I’m just exploring driving along the French roads. There’s something so soothing about driving in your highly modified Japanese import until your fingers start to hurt.
This game is about to get delisted from the Xbox Live store so grab it while you can but I’m pretty sure you can find a physical copy out there for dirt cheap.
GARNiDELiA’s Kyouki Ranbu is a compilation album containing some of their previous songs plus a couple of new ones. I’ve blasted them in the past for not going out of their comfort zone fully but it seems like with the new tracks on this album they’ve finally branched out.
Their song Kyouki Ranbu, for example, is a fun mashup of Japanese festival music, high beats and a taste of Lil John. Avra K'Davarah is another track that is different from their usual flavors presenting a mix of electronica and western Asian style sounds.
