Square Enix is fighting the good fight. Always spicing up the videogame landscape with some good looking men and women. Well today we are going showcase Square Enix’s five finest men and women. ‘Cause everyone loves top 5 lists right?
5 ) Lara Croft (Tomb Raider 2013/Rise of the Tomb Raider)
Damn. Just look at that hair flow majestically in the wind. Square and Eidos made a huge deal out of hair when they were hyping up the new Tomb Raider reboot and who could blame them? Just look at that! So simple and elegant. God bless the people behind TressFX for making her hair look and appear fabulous in-game.
4 ) Adam Jensen (Deus Ex: Human Revolution/Mankind Divided)
Even as an augmented human Adam still finds a way to keep his slick brown hair as tact as ever (probably because of his augments, actually –ed.). Not only does his hair look good while he is chasing down the people against progress in the mean sewers of Detroit, but his hair is also a reminder for the dark future that may lay ahead of us. While relatively tame in appearance it also brings out a sinister vibe. A vibe that is always present in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
3) Wei Shen (Sleeping Dogs)
It must be the pork buns he’s eating because how else does a man keep his hair as jet black as Wei Shen? Even with all the rain, humidity, and blood splatter from the the people he’s killed Wei finds a way to maintain that classic hard-working-man hair do. Plus you gotta give him props for not succumbing to the KPOP hairdo invading the region.
2) Aya Brea (Parasite Eve/Parasite Eve 2/The Third Birthday)
Aya was created by the Gooch* himself. A man with an impeccable mustache. So he knows what a flawless hair looks like. Just like Lara, Aya’s hair is simple and elegant. It doesn’t get in her way while she is chasing down the Mitochondrion Creatures in the cold streets of NYC. Aya has always been one of my favorite heroines growing up, so her hair will always be etched in my videogaming heart.
1) Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII/XIII-2/Lightning Returns)
Of course the Goddess herself can’t have inferior hair. From the fall of Cocoon, to becoming the Knight of the Goddess Etro, to defeating God himself, Lightning’s hair has remained iconic throughout the years. Tail on the left, spikes on the right. Nothing is more prominent than that beautiful sight.
