Every week I will be showcasing one album and a video game that I feel everyone should check out in their spare time. Today, those two will be Vanishing Vision by INTERNET CLUB and Red Dead Redemption
Vanishing Vision by INTERNET CLUB
At first glance, you’d probably think that you are listening to glorified elevator music or the soundtrack to some C-Tier Anime, but you will soon realize that this album will place you in a a Japanese city littered with neon lights. As you stroll down the rainy streets and see the reflection of the endless sea of lights, you will find yourself looping each song get the most out of them. You don’t know why your are doing such a thing, but you can’t be helped that your mind and soul is in a weird ambient trance. You then ponder a bit why you’ve been standing out in the rain looking like a fool listening to elevator music, but then the song repeats again and you take another step into the wet streets of some city in Japan.
Listen to the album here.

I recently re-picked this game up to give it another run, and it is still amazing as ever. Even though I know what is going to happen at the end of the game, I’m still deeply entrenched with the storyline. It’s a high budget game, but it has that wonderful B-Tier western movie feel. And as much as I hate the Grand Theft Auto comparisons, it’s more of a GTA than IV will ever be. (Sorry Paul)
